Publish and share your Studio lessons

As a training manager, you can publish and share Studio lessons in the right format so that your teams can access training via Mapal One or other channels. Studio offers multiple sharing and export options. This guide explains how to publish lessons, use staging, and choose the best sharing method for your learners or stakeholders.

Start from: The Flow Learning dashboard.

  • Navigate to Learning & Development > Studio.
  • The Studio dashboard opens. Select the specific lesson you want to share.
• Open your lesson in the Editor. All sharing options are located inside the lesson editor.
  • Click Share (upper-right corner).
  • The Share panel opens, where you can publish, stage, and choose sharing/export methods.

Publishing a lesson

Before sharing externally, you must publish the lesson:

  • Toggle Public Access on in the Share menu.

Note: Publishing does not lock editing. You can continue making changes. You can unpublish at any time, instantly disabling all links/exports.

Stage changes

Staging ensures SCORM packages (and other exports) don’t update automatically. Instead, you can publish updates in one batch when ready.

  • After toggling Public Access on, select Enable Staging.
  • This is strongly recommended for SCORM workflows in Flow.

Ways to share a lesson

Once published, you can share in several ways depending on the use case:

1. LMS Delivery

  • SCORM Package
    • Once a lesson is generated, it appears automatically in Learning & Development > L&D Settings > SCORM Modules. No manual download or upload required.

2. Links & Reviews

  • Public Link: Open access without login, useful for broad onboarding or open training.
  • Review Link: Stakeholders preview draft lessons without logging in.
    • View-only, no analytics.
    • Best for SMEs or reviewers who just need to skim.
    • For inline comments, invite them as collaborators instead.

3. Exports & Embeds

  • Export as PDF: Static version for compliance archives or offline access.
  • Export as Website: Download as .zip to host on a server/intranet.
  • Embed Code: Insert into wikis, intranets, or learning portals with iframe.

4. Quick Access Options

  • QR Code: Generate a scannable code for mobile access (ideal in workshops or physical spaces).
  • Send via Email/SMS: Deliver directly to learners.

Note: SMS is only available for US numbers.

Best Practices

  • Use Stage Changes before exporting SCORM.
  • Preview before sharing: a page that looks fine in the editor may feel crowded in learner mode.
  • Match the method to the audience: Public Link for scale, Review Link for feedback, SCORM for tracking in Flow.
